Are there any sign-up fees?

All of the websites that we care for must first go through a quality check for us to become familiar with the website. If we have built your website recently then this should take very little time and there is no sign-up fee.

If, on the other hand, your website was built by someone else or hasn’t been updated in a while then our quality check will be much more involved and may require more time to get your website up to our high standards. When this is the case we will require a website evaluation.

Am I locked into a contract?

Absolutely not!  We are all about a relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go, but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in… all of our website care plans are contract-free, so you may cancel at any time.

To cancel, simply send us an email and let us know. We’ll immediately stop your next payment and you’ll continue to receive your website care plan benefits until the end of the month. After this, all of your stored backups and other plan features will be removed.

What happens if something goes wrong?

The whole purpose of our website plans is preventative care, however, if your website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc., we’ll be there right by its side communicating with the web hosting to resolve the issue, and restore the site from a backup, if needed.  

We cannot promise that your website will not be hacked, but we can promise that we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the cleanup and restoration of the website with one of our backups.  

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

Monthly support time can we utilized for content update requests and small design improvements – these are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is fair game, such as theme or stylesheet changes, new form creation, changes to existing forms, posting blogs with SEO set-up, social media posts, etc.  We will work until your time limit is reached. Unused time does not carry over into the next month.  

We just ask that you be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time. 

Does the monthly time roll over?

The monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in our queue and our resources, therefore it does not roll over. You can take comfort in the fact that what you request, within your allocated support time (depending on your plan), will be addressed by our team with immediate attention. 

How do consulting calls work?

E-mail is our best form of communication since it yields the fastest response.  However, we know brainstorming works best on the phone or via a video call.  The consulting calls included in the Web Manage and Web Master plans, and they help focus a trajectory for the website’s improvement and growth. Many times, this time is used to screen-share small updates or training review.

Can I upgrade my care plan? What if I need more hours?

Sure thing. If you need to increase your level of website care just let us know and we’ll move you to a more suitable plan.

Or if you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we’ll submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. Many times, we will evaluate requests that exceed plan time on a case-by-case basis, and with approval, work past the time, and bill for time exceeded at our current support rate of $100/hour. 

My website was not built by RM Creative & Consulting, can I still be on a care plan?

The website care plans were developed for websites we built, however, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated webmaster. We first like to do a website evaluation to become familiar with your website, how it was built, and to spot any potential issues if the site hasn’t been updated regularly. With the website evaluation, we perform all of the necessary updates and connect to our monitoring tools, as well as make a full backup of the website. Most importantly, we’ll make a list of the issues which need attention and suggestions for improvements needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly care plan. The website evaluation is a fixed $500.00 fee and includes a 30-minute review call and a website evaluation report.
